D205 brake composite

I have recently finished making a D205 double ended brake composite, mine is in 4mm OO from a Stevenson Carriages kit.

I am curious as to why the double ended arrangement, I know the vehicle will have been used as a through coach and was not used for slip workings. Was it to keep the 1st class luggage separate from the 2nd/3rd? To have a guard guaranteed to be at a particular end of the vehicle?

I was going to attach a picture of it, however I can't get it small enough to upload as i am on my phone.

Could be a research project to locate the reason why.

I believe this was a common arrangement with the brake compos built for use as TCs.

I suspect it was more for operational reasons than anything to do with luggage, but I'll have to have a good think!
