Vectis Auction 17th January 2020

Whilst these are some of the best ratio carriages I have seen in terms of painting, as you would expect from Larry, I think the auctioneer got his estimate slightly out, estimating £100-140, with them realising £750!!!

At least one of them isn't a Ratio, is it? The top one is a brake end. Probably had a Ratio underframe and that's what the Auctioneers saw.

Possibly a set of Worsley Works (or Trevor Charlton) etched sides/ends on a Ratio underframe.

Built by Derek (not David as Vectis stated) Lawrence and painted by Larry Goddard £125 for each coach I consider them a good buy, especially as so few well made LNWR 4mm carriages come up for resale. Those that do (usually on Ebay) are often very poorly built and painted, despite the sellers' usual claims to the opposite.
