Dear All,
[From the Newsletter Editor] I am deep in the mire of cleaning up text and chasing vague information. As you can imagine, there is a lot of Committee related business following the SGM and other shenanigans of the past few months. Mike Peascod is handling the production side and some material has already passed to him for processing. We are all keen that there are no delays to the March mailing.
Speaking of the SGM, Norman Lee has done a wonderful job on the Minutes. It will have been a very difficult task. In the words of Bob Williams [Deputy Chairman], "Clearly worded and well referenced re who contributed what."
Today (12th Feb) Mike Peascod sent me this news. "I have now cleared a small problem on the proof PDFs with the printer and Chris [Northedge, Editor] is happy I go to press. I have told Cawthorne's to proceed with the printing of the March edition of the Journal."
Cheers, Tony Gillam

If all went according to plan with Mike Peascod, the final proof PDF file of the March Newsletter went to the printers last Friday, the 20th of February. 12 pages of Newsletter, plus 4 pages of SGM Minutes.

Mine arrived either Friday or Saturday while I was away, which was superb as it gave me plenty of reading material to enjoy with a relaxing cuppa after a 3 hour drive home

Very good issue and the bonus for me is the articles on the Chester and Holyhead sets, just perfect :)

My package arrived today which was a pleasant surprise as it is usually 7 to 10 days later than when notices of arrival for UK members are posted, plenty to read and digest.
I note in the newsletter that the General Discussion area is to remain closed is this permanent.

In answer to Murry's question, the re-opening of the General Discussion section will considered at the next EC meeting (this month??)
