Today [Mon 30 Dec 2013] saw the first public through electric train between Manchester Piccadilly and Glasgow Central. It departed at 7.15am, and was due into Central at 10.31am; to be met by a Piper! It was formed of two class 350/4 4-car units. The route was Chat Moss, Wigan North Western & Shap.
