The WON entry for Rugby Wharf Box closing was as follows:-

Monday, 1st January 1962
Rugby Wharf
The box will cease to be a block post, and all signals worked therefore will be disconnected pending removal at a later date.
The Up line will be severed and a stop block provided at a point opposite the box; the Down line will be severed and a stop block provided 500 yards on the Leicester side of the connection from the present Down Siding. The existing Up and Down Leicester lines between Rugby No.5 box and the new stop blocks described above will in future be worked as sidings, the present Rugby Wharf signal box being retained as a Shunting frame.

I've not yet come across an entry for it ceasing to be a shunting frame - it was shown still in use on the diagram to SN.705G the Rugby MAS Scheme in Sept. 1964 so after that?

Regards
Mike
