One of the tasks next up for me to model is a standard wooden Station building in 7mm.

Dimensions of the exterior are detailed in Jack Nelson's LNWR portrayed, however, I am intending to model the building in half relief with the rear cut-away at the front edge of the layout, so I would like to detail the interior.

Despite a search of the published literature, I've yet to find any photos or details of the interior treatment.

Which lead me to wonder if any of these buildings are still existent, and if so without being gutted?
Standing on Stockport Station on Friday, I did wonder if the W. H. Smiths there started life as being constructed out of the standard panels.
The interior has obviously gutted though.

Thanks

Angus.

Huddersfield station -the island platform- buildings are of the standard construction. Although knocked about the are still some trim details to be seen.

Thanks Gary,

I pass through Huddersfield occasionally on a journey for work.
I've never noticed the Cafe before.

Next time I'm passing through I'll stop off and grab a coffee and some photos.

Angus

Also Sutton Coldfield and Four Oaks platform buildings, although I'm not sure how original the interiors are.

I also found a small example on platforms 3 & 4 at Preston station today.
It looked like there was a staff meeting inside though so I kept my photographs to the exterior.

A head did appear through the window an declare it was ok for me take photos as long as they were for modelling purposes! :D
